The James Webb telescope: an eye onto a universe, infinite in time and space

Thirty years after the launch of the Hubble telescope, its successor, the James Webb telescope is now operational. Big Bang cosmologists expected it to show young galaxies just a little after the universe’s own ‘beginning’. But having peered deep into the cosmos, the James Webb telescope is sending back images that defy the established cosmology, and point to a universe that is infinite in time and space.

Marxism 2022, this year's revolutionary school of the IMT in Sweden, was special. As the working class is reawakening in one European country after another, the relevance of the ideas of Marxism has never been more evident. Sweden is no exception, as proven by the fact that thousands of miners in Kiruna and Malmberget – defying the union bureaucracy – have just raised a radical demand for a 20 percent wage increase.

Revolutionære Socialister, the Danish section of the IMT, recently held its annual ‘Revolution Festival’. With more than 110 attendees from across Denmark, the festival was an unequivocal success. Comrades and guests left the festival with a higher level of understanding of Marxism and revolutionary theory, as well as a renewed will and energy to fight for the overthrow of the capitalist system.

Ayuso, deren kolossale Arroganz ihrer Ignoranz und Idiotie entspricht, sieht allmählich ihren Rückhalt in der Bevölkerung schwinden, sogar in den bürgerlichen Kreisen, die sie bisher unterstützten. Es bedarf eines letzten Anstoßes, um sie zu Fall zu bringen.

30 اکتوبر 2022ء کو ورکرز پارٹی (پی ٹی) کے لولا ڈا سلوا نے انتہائی دائیں بازو کے امیدوار بولسونارو کو صدارتی انتخابات کے دوسرے مرحلے میں چھوٹے مارجن کے ساتھ شکست دے دی۔ اگرچہ محنت کشوں اور نوجوانوں کا اس نتیجے پر جشن منانا بنتا ہے، مگر ہمیں یہ بھی دیکھنا پڑے گا کہ بولسونارو کو توقعات سے زیادہ ووٹ ملے، جو دو مرحلوں کے دوران اپنے ووٹوں میں 60 لاکھ کا اضافہ کرنے میں کامیاب رہا، جبکہ اس کے مقابلے میں لولا کے ووٹوں میں 26 لاکھ کا اضافہ ہوا۔

Le 30 octobre dernier, au Brésil, Luiz Ignacio Lula – le candidat du Parti des travailleurs (PT) – a remporté les élections présidentielles d’une courte tête : 50,9 %. Son adversaire, le président sortant Jair Bolsonaro (extrême droite), a déjoué tous les sondages au premier tour, puis a progressé de 6 millions de voix entre les deux tours, contre 2,6 millions pour Lula.
