LSE Marxists: Imperialism - the highest stage of capitalism

Join us on Tuesday 12th at 6:30pm in CLM.1.03, for the second part of our reading group of this iconic text by Lenin – written in 1916, it describes the economic basis for imperialism and its relation to development of monopolies and dominance of finance capital – a very relevant analysis which has many implications and lessons for anyone wishing to understand uneven development in the world today.

This week we will be discussing chapters three to six.
Whilst having read them beforehand is recommended, there will be a short introduction to the main themes of the chapters at the start of the meeting, so if you don’t have time to read them please do still come along – everyone is welcome!
